 | The 2012 Pendle Business Awards were held on Friday 27th April 2012. The Small Retailer of the Year Sponsor was Pendle Borough Council www.pendle.gov.uk Nominees for the award were: The Art Palette The Dressing Room Ltd Oscar's (Nelson) Ltd The Winner was The Art Palette www.theartpalette.co.uk The Art Palette is a small specialist shop based in Barnoldswick, combining both an art gallery and the retailing of art products and supplies. The Art Palette defied the odds when it opened during a difficult economic period by breaking even in it's first year of trading. They have recently developed a large customer base over the internet, serving the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Holland. What started off as a small business has gone on to be headhunted by global giants, Amazon, to be a supplier of materials previously not available via Amazon and thus expanding the available product range to a potentially worldwide customer base. This video was produced and screened on the night to all of the invited guests and businesses who were nominated for awards.
