Datapoint-ElectronicMessaging

In the days before widespread use of bulletin boards and the Internet, e-mail was mostly available only to ARPAnet users (ARPAnet was the ancestor of today's Internet, beginning in the early 1970s and originally limited to the Defense Department and its affiliated research universities and contractors). Datapoint was an early leader at making electronic messaging available to businesses worldwide, allowing them to speed up crucial business communications, improve security, and while keeping costs under control. As you watch this video, remember when it was produced. It's remarkable how far ahead of its time Datapoint was. The video is presented by Chris Marrou, a well-known TV anchor personality in San Antonio at the time.
